Wagner Ring app for iPhone and iPad

Wagners Ring is the epic 4-part opera cycle by the great German composer, Richard Wagner. Wagner wrote most of his operas using "Leitmotifs", small musical fragments that represent a character, object or idea.

This app is a database of over 150 of the important leitmotifs of Wagners masterpiece, The Ring of the Niebelung. Just touch a leitmotif name in the list and it plays. The leitmotifs are presented in a list sorted by opera (Das Rheingold, Die Walkure, Siegfried and Gotterdammerung) and then by first occurance. Each opera heading can be expanded to show the complete list of letimotifs first presented in that opera.

This app allows the Ring goer become familiar with the sound of each leitmotif, creating a much more meaningful and enjoyable experience at a Ring production.
